|SUMMER SCHOOL DATES||July 2-July 20, 2007 (Classes begin on July 2 and end on July 20)|
Included in cost: tuition fees, course materials, excursions listed in the program, invitation for the Russian visa, and airport transfers (pick up and drop off at airports on days of arrival and departure).
Not included in program cost: airfare (round trip), accommodations, meals and transportation to and from classes.

|ACADEMIC FOCUS||This year’s program includes a three-week Russian Language
course, a distinctive academic focus on heated political issues important
to the Post-Soviet development of Russia, and supplementary mass media course
with a special emphasis on how these heavily debated issues are reported by
the Post-Soviet media. The content instruction is in English.

|Applicants seeking an alterative to Russian study abroad programs, one that offers exclusive courses as well as practical Russian language course, but allows for free time to enjoy while being in Russia. It is suggested but not mandatory for applicants to have 3 years of college.|

|APPLICATION DEADLINE||April 17, 2007|
|CONFIRMATION DATE||Applicants will be notified by April 28, 2007|
|METHOD OF PAYMENT FOR PROGRAM||Payment for the program will be due in two installments:
1. Deposit in the amount of $485.00 (please see below the information under deposit)
2. The remaining sum of $1200.00
Payment for the deposit will be due to ASTER Inc, our official travel agency--please see information below.
The second installment in the amount of $1200.00 will be due to European University. This installment will be due on/ by July 7, 2007.
Payment for both installments can be rendered with wire transfer, Visa/ Master Card, and/ or American Express. Traveler Cheques are not accepted.
|DEPOSIT||Upon confirmation, participants will be required to make a deposit in the amount of $485.00 US dollars. Information on how to process the deposit will be sent along with your confirmation on acceptance. The deposit is due by May 10, 2007. In the case, that a deposit is not received by this date, the applicant’s confirmation will be cancelled.|
|DEPOSIT CANCELLATION POLICY||Only written cancellations are considered valid. If cancellation is received by May 31, 2007, the full amount will be returned minus credit card processing fees. If cancellation occurs after May 31 but before June 25, the amount to be returned is $335.00 US dollars minus the credit card processing fees. All cancellations received after June 25, 2007, will not be refunded.|
|OFFICIAL TRAVEL AGENCY||In order to better assist participants with preparations
for their trip to St. Petersburg and arrange their stay during the summer school,
we selected the travel agency, ASTER Inc. as our official agency.
ASTER Inc. will be responsible for collecting the deposits and assisting you with accommodations, providing the visa invitation for a Russian visa, organizing ground transportation for participants’ arrival and departure, as well as be available to answer participants’ questions.

|RUSSIAN VISA||In accordance with Russian law, all visitors to the Russian
Federation are required to obtain a Russian visa prior to their arrival to the
Russian Federation. There are few nationalities that are exempted from this
rule. Those who are exempted tend to be citizens of the former republics of
the Soviet Union. Citizens of North and South America, Great Britain, Western
Europe, Australia and Asian countries are required to obtain a Russian visa.

An invitation for a Russian visa will be provided to you by ASTER Inc. This document is required when applying for a Russian visa.
|PASSPORTS||The expiration date in your passport needs to be valid at least six months from July 3, 2007. For example, if the passport expiration date is in August 2007, then the Russian authorities will refuse to issue a Russian visa.|
|TRAVEL AND MEDICAL INSURANCE||The course fees and deposit do not include insurance. Participants are responsible for their own medical/evacuation insurance.|
|ACCOMMODATIONS||ASTER Inc. will be available to assist you with information on and selecting accommodations that fit your budget (home-stays, hostels, or hotel accommodations). Please contact ASTER Inc. to inquire on the options available to you.|
|AIRPORT TRANSFERS||Ground transportation upon arrival and departure is included in program costs. Upon arrival, participants will be met and escorted to his/her place of stay and upon departure transportation will be provided to the airport. When available, flight information needs to be sent to ASTER Inc.|
